Depression
Depression can make you feel disconnected from yourself, the people you love, and the life you once enjoyed. You may feel exhausted, numb, unmotivated, overwhelmed, or stuck in patterns of negative self-talk that are difficult to quiet. Sometimes, depression looks like sadness; other times, it looks like irritability, perfectionism, withdrawal, or simply feeling like you are going through the motions without truly feeling present.
In therapy, we work together to understand what is underneath those feelings rather than judging or trying to simply “push through” them. Using approaches such as IFS and CBT, we explore the protective and hurt parts of your system, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and gently challenge thoughts that contribute to hopelessness, shame, or feeling disconnected from your worth.
We also incorporate somatic awareness and mindfulness to help you reconnect with what is happening in your body, emotions, and nervous system. Healing from depression isn't just about changing your thoughts—it can also be about slowly reconnecting with yourself, your needs, your relationships, and the things that bring meaning to your life.
You don't have to have everything figured out before reaching out. We will meet you where you are, move at a pace that feels manageable, and create a safe, supportive space to begin rebuilding hope, energy, self-trust, and authentic connection. My goal is not simply to help you feel better, but to help you feel more like yourself again.
