Embrace Strength in the Face of Adversity
Our team
Lydia Bishop, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Canton, Georgia. I earned my Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice from Kennesaw State University and began my career as an adult probation officer with Cherokee County, where I saw the need for greater access to mental health support. This led me to return to Kennesaw State University to earn my Master of Arts in Social Work.
I have since worked with adolescents and adults in Drug and Alcohol Treatment Courts, Juvenile Detention Centers, private practice, and in-home community counseling.
I believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for lasting change. I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel understood. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, family issues, divorce or separation, addiction, parenting challenges, relationship concerns, self esteem and people on the autism spectrum.
I also have experience supporting polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous (ENM) relationships, offering an affirming space to explore identity, relationship dynamics, and personal values.
In addition, I bring a unique skill set grounded in a financial background, allowing me to effectively support couples who experience conflict around money. Financial stress can be a significant source of tension in relationships, and I help clients explore these dynamics, improve communication, and develop healthier, more collaborative approaches to managing finances within the context of their relationship.
My approach is relational and grounded in authenticity. I integrate evidence-based modalities including Family Systems, Person-Centered Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, CBT, and Brainspotting—a brain-body approach used to process and release trauma, emotional pain, and anxiety.
I am passionate about supporting clients in growth, healing, and self-discovery, and I meet each person with compassion and respect.

I work with teen and young adults who feel weighed down by self-doubt, stress, or the pressure to meet expectations at school, in relationships, or within their families. Many of my clients want to feel more confident, express themselves openly, and manage overwhelming emotions without shutting down or overthinking. They want a space where they can slow down, be understood, and begin to build trust in themselves. Together, we focus on self-worth, emotional balance, and finding healthier ways to meet their needs.
My approach is warm, relational, and collaborative. I focus on building strong therapeutic connections while exploring the deeper experiences that shape who we are. In session, we work on strengthening confidence, learning to meet our own needs, and managing stress through emotion-focused, acceptance-based, and attachment approaches. I am also trained in brainspotting an approach that helps identify, process, and release deep neurophysiological sources of trauma, emotional pain, and anxiety. I believe everyone deserves a fulfilling life and has the capacity to create it.
My passion lies in helping young women move past self-doubt, embrace their worth, and develop the tools and confidence to live authentically.
Melissa Wetherington, LMSW
In my practice, I work with individuals navigating a wide array of challenges, including life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and self-esteem issues. I understand that each person's journey is unique, which is why they seek guidance during difficult times. I help clients who desire a personalized, tailored approach to therapy where their specific needs and goals take center stage. I particularly enjoy working with young adults.
I believe that therapy should never be a “one-size-fits-all” experience. It is essential that our work together is individualized to meet the unique circumstances of your life. To achieve this, I use a multidisciplinary approach that integrates various evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused, and Mindfulness Techniques. I am trained in EMDR and certified in The BLAST Technique for trauma resolution
I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share your story freely. My goal is to ensure that you feel supported, understood, and valued throughout our therapeutic journey. Finding the right therapist is akin to finding the perfect pair of shoes; it should feel supportive and comfortable.
I invite you to reach out so we can work together to create a truly transformative therapeutic experience. Embrace the opportunity to close old chapters and embark on a path toward a happier, healthier life.
Skyler Gupta, LMSW
From the very beginning of our work together, my goal is to create a space where you feel genuinely accepted, supported, and empowered. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and young adults, and I’m deeply committed to providing inclusive, individualized care that meets you where you are. I believe that authentic connection is at the heart of meaningful therapy, and I strive to ensure your voice is always heard and valued throughout the process.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. I’m currently completing a Master of Public Health at Brown University. My professional experience spans a range of settings, including residential mental health programs, intensive outpatient clinics, and the CDC’s Injury Center. These diverse environments have shaped my approach to care—blending evidence-based practices with personalized, client-centered support.
I have experience working with a wide range of concerns, including mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety disorders (PTSD, OCD), personality disorders, substance use, psychotic disorders (such as schizophrenia), autism and ADHD, and LGBTQ+ affirming care, including support for gender dysphoria.
I primarily draw on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), integrating these with a trauma-informed, person-centered framework. Whether we’re building coping skills or engaging in deeper self-reflection, I tailor our work to align with your needs, goals, and values.
There’s no one-size-fits-all path in mental health—and that’s why I start by listening. Together, we’ll build a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, collaboration, and growth.
Kelsey Wynn, LMSW
I work with children, teens, young adults, and adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of their next steps. They may be facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting stress, life transitions, or mood disorders. Many are tired of carrying everything alone and want a supportive space to heal and grow. Whether you’re navigating change, processing trauma, coping with grief, or pursuing personal growth, I help clients build coping skills, increase confidence, and create meaningful change. Together, we’ll work toward greater connection, empowerment, and hope.
I offer a warm, authentic, and trauma-informed approach for children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Using evidenced based practices such as CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and strengths-based interventions, I help clients feel understood, build practical coping skills, and create meaningful change.
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I offer a safe, supportive space to be heard and understood. Together, we’ll navigate life’s challenges, build effective coping skills, and work toward meaningful growth, resilience, healing, and lasting change.
