Sarah Clark, LMSW

Adult Trauma & ADHD Therapist

Helping adults heal from complex trauma, navigate ADHD, and build a life that feels peaceful, authentic, and fulfilling.

About Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah! I specialize in complex trauma and ADHD treatment in adults. I have trained in several trauma modalities which focus on a gentle, affirming approach to healing the wounds that continue to affect you. Trauma can show up in strange ways that often make even simple things difficult, and I am highly skilled at helping you recognize these triggers and work through them so you can live a peaceful and fulfilling life. Trauma work can seem scary, so I have created a warm, inviting, and healing space where we can laugh as well as cry, and navigate the path together.

My Approach to Therapy

I became a counselor because I have also moved through murky waters in life, and through extensive work, experience, and education have built a toolbox I want to share with others. I offer a bright and hopeful attitude towards the people I work with, and always regard others without judgement. Along with utilizing the modalities I have trained in, such as Internal Family Systems Therapy (“parts work”), Brainspotting, and Somatic work, I offer a philosophical and non-religious spiritual element to those drawn to exploring identity and deeper concepts.

I am passionate about facilitating healing in those that need it the most. I am not shy and will provide a gentle but straight-forward communication as well as ample explanation of the biological and psychological things you are experiencing to provide clarity and empowerment so you feel in control of your journey. I firmly believe that healing is a byproduct of feeling capable and confident in yourself, so its my job to help you develop a strong trust in your ability to conquer anything you face.

My Treatment Approach

My work incorporates evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches including:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Brainspotting

  • Somatic Therapy

  • Adult ADHD Treatment

  • Trauma Therapy

My Background

My education began with a Bachelors of Sociology which gave me a rich understanding of the social and cultural impact on mental health. I am passionate about sociopolitical issues and how systemic biases can affect all people. I am passionate about feminism, anti-colonialism, dismantling racial and ethnic biases, LGBTQ+ issues, and understanding the profound impact neurodivergence can have on social acceptance from others. With this foundation, I began my studies towards a Masters of Social Work, where I learned about therapeutic approaches on a micro and macro level, deepening my understanding of the impacts of trauma, neurodivergence, various identity types, and demographics. Post-graduation I completed several specific and rigorous trainings to hone my knowledge and skills in trauma and neurodivergence. Additionally, I am passionate about holistic wellness which began with my former career as a Licensed Massage Therapist.
