Self-Esteem & Confidence

Low self-esteem can affect how you see yourself, the choices you make, and the relationships you allow into your life. You may struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, comparison, difficulty setting boundaries, or a persistent feeling that you aren't “good enough.” When your sense of worth has become tied to achievement, appearance, approval, or meeting others' expectations, it can be difficult to recognize your own value.

In therapy, we work to understand where these beliefs came from and begin creating a more compassionate relationship with yourself. Using IFS and parts work, we explore and unburden the inner critic and other protective parts that may have developed around experiences of rejection, criticism, comparison, or not feeling enough. CBT helps us identify and challenge internalized beliefs, negative self-talk, and conditional ideas about your worth.

Because self-esteem isn't just something you think—it's something you can experience emotionally and physically—we may incorporate Brainspotting, somatic therapy, and mindfulness to help you notice and process the feelings held in your body. ACT and person-centered therapy can also help you move away from self-judgment, reconnect with your values, and build a stronger sense of self that isn't dependent on external validation.

Together, we work on self-compassion, boundaries, assertiveness, perfectionism, people-pleasing, confidence, and trusting your own needs and decisions. The goal isn't to become a different version of yourself or convince yourself that everything is perfect. It's to develop a deeper sense of self-worth, embrace your strengths and imperfections, and feel more comfortable showing up as your authentic, confident, and whole self.

Our journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
