Stress & Burnout

When chronic stress leaves you feeling like you're constantly “on,” it can become difficult to slow down, rest, or even recognize what you need. You may feel exhausted but unable to relax, overwhelmed by responsibilities, irritable or emotionally drained, or like you're simply going through the motions. For many people, burnout develops gradually through perfectionism, people-pleasing, overcommitment, difficulty saying no, or feeling responsible for everyone else.

Therapy provides a space to step out of survival mode and understand the patterns that are keeping you there. Using somatic therapy, mindfulness, CBT, solution-focused therapy, and person-centered approaches, we help you recognize how chronic stress is affecting your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships.

Somatic and mindfulness practices can help you reconnect with your body's signals and develop tools for regulating your nervous system. CBT can help you identify the beliefs that drive overworking and perfectionism, while solution-focused therapy helps you identify realistic changes and build on the strengths and resources you already have.

Together, we may work on boundaries, self-care, perfectionism, people-pleasing, time and energy management, emotional regulation, prioritizing your needs, and creating sustainable routines. Rather than adding another list of things you “should” be doing, we focus on creating meaningful changes that fit your actual life.

Burnout doesn't mean you're weak or incapable. Often, it means you've been carrying too much for too long. Therapy can help you step out of constant overdrive, reconnect with yourself, protect your energy, and create a life that allows for rest, balance, connection, and sustainability—not just productivity.
